GLOBAL WALLETS MARK MILESTONE FOR PHILIPPINES PAYMENTS
The arrival of global wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay marks a major milestone in the Philippines’ push toward a fully digital payments landscape. Their entry signals growing confidence from international tech players in the country’s readiness for cashless transactions, aligning with the government’s broader goal of expanding financial inclusion and modernizing the local payments infrastructure.
“This is an important step for the Philippines. It signals how these tech giants view the country as a market they’re ready to support and shows that our ecosystem is ready to accept global solutions,” said Wudie Morales, Head of Philippines at Fiuu. “We simplify everything – one integration, one report, one provider.
